Pereire Apartments

Pereire, a district both residential and business oriented

With its rich boulevards and its little shopping streets, the Pereire district is both residential and lively. If you are looking for an apartment to rent in Paris for your next vacation, why not consider this desirable area of the capital? Opulent avenues and lively shopping in the Pereire district Just minutes from Place de l'Étoile, the Pereire district lies, on the right bank of the Seine, in the northeast of Paris.

The district takes its name from two brothers

The financier Émile Pereire, who invested in a railroad running the length of the current Boulevard Pereire. Émile and his brother Isaac Pereire were bankers who were involved in the real estate operations linked to the modernization of Paris led by Baron Haussmann. On the corner of Avenue des Ternes and Avenue Niel stands the building of the old Magasins Réunis.” Erected in 1912, the grand building has a dome on its corner and Art Nouveau decoration. The small Musée Jean-Jacques Henner presents the work of the 19th century artist and portrait painter from Alsace.

Pereire, a district far from the hubbub of the city

The opulent avenues, lined with Haussmann-style facades, alternate with the main shopping streets. Avenue des Ternes has many ready-to-wear brands and is also the focus for the area's nightlife. In terms of gardens, the area has the leafy Pereire promenade (Boulevard Pereire), Square Bayen (access from Rue Bayen and Boulevard Pereire) and Square Albert-Bénard (Place du Maréchal Juin). More unusual is the colorful flower market in Place des Ternes, the perfect place for a poetic pause during your stay.

Visiting the markets of Pereire

The district has several renowned food markets. Creating a friendly crowd, the indoor Ternes market (8 bis Rue Lebon), and the market on Rue Poncelet offer their appetizing goods. The area has all the local stores you might need. The district is served by the Pereire and Wagram (line 3) and Ternes (line 2) metro stations and Pereire-Wagram RER station (line C).
