The Trocadéro, a stylish, touristy area

The exclusive Trocadéro district is a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Palais de Tokyo and the Champs de Mars. This site offers unobstructed views of chic Paris, nestled in the heart of a historic district. Many embassies are based in the area, bringing with them a bourgeois population. Far from working class Paris, the Trocadéro district wins people over with its luxury appearance, its great food, and its formal atmosphere.

The Palais de Chaillot and its collection of museums

You can discover the Musée de la Marine and its impressive collection of 3,000 models. The Musée de l'Homme, a museum of ethnography, anthropology, and prehistory, is also open to the public. There you can learn all about the evolution of human life. Further away stands the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, the world's largest site dedicated to architecture. Finally, a visit to the Palais de Chaillot is not complete without a look at the Théâtre National de Chaillot. Outside, the Jardin du Trocadéro stretches over 23 acres of green.

Various ways to get around the district

The district has two metro stations in the heart of Place du Trocadéro, taxi stands, and traditional and open-top bus stops. You can cross the Seine via the Pont d’Iéna to the riverboats for a trip on the water.
