Plaisance/Pernety Apartments

The family-oriented and lively Plaisance/Pernety district in the south of Paris

The extremely lively Plaisance/Pernety district offers a pleasant environment for your stay. If you are planning a vacation with your family in Paris, renting a large apartment in this district is a great idea. The Plaisance/Pernety district is bordered by Rue d'Alésia, Rue Raymond-Losserand, and Rue Didot, three long roads lined with food venues, reasonably-priced restaurants, and discount fashion stores.

Montparnasse and its legendary theaters and brasseries

Lively by day and quiet by night, life in the neighborhood is similar to that of a village. There are few tourists and a lot of families. The residents wouldn't give up living there for the world! The name Plaisance probably comes from the presence of places for parties and pleasure located here in the 18th century. Built on the initiative of private speculators, small developments appeared in the first half of the 19th century. They still influence how the neighborhood looks with many low-rise buildings and small, verdant streets known as villas.

The Plaisance/Pernety district has a friendly atmosphere

Traditionally a working class area popular with artists and craftsmen, the district is more of a place where it's good to live and wander around. One of the pleasures of the district is to discover hidden gardens, for example around Rue des Thermophyles, or, just opposite Pernety metro station, heading towards Place de la Garenne. Attractions include the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson (2 Impasse Lebouis), located in a typical neighborhood alley inside a renovated workshop, which exhibits photographic works.

Plaisance/Pernety, where good food is a way of life

The district has a twice-weekly market (Avenue Villemain) and is packed with appetizing food venues, for example these two bakeries: Moulin de la Vierge (105 Rue Vercingétorix) and Fournée d'Augustine (96 Rue Raymond Losserand). The district is served by the Plaisance and Pernety metro stations (line 13). If you are looking for a family apartment to rent in Paris, we offer a wide range of rentals in the Plaisance/Pernety area.
