The Palais Omnisport de Paris-Bercy, or POPB, (8 Boulevard de Bercy) is one of the largest structures built in the late 20th century in the east of Paris. It is in the shape of a pyramid, and its walls are covered with sloping lawns. It is a vast, multipurpose room that can accommodate 18,000 spectators for concerts or sports competitions. Further away, Parc de Bercy, on the site of former wine warehouses, lies next to the Seine. With its abounding vegetation and its many intimate spots, it gives visitors a particularly pleasant place to walk and relax.
